Ingredients

  • 1 lb elbow macaroni or pasta of choice

  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

  • 2 cups whole milk

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter + 1 tbsp for topping

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

Directions

  • Boil the pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  • Make the cheese sauce: In a saucepan, melt 2 tbsp butter, stir in flour, and cook for 1 minute. Slowly whisk in milk and cook until thickened.
