This One-Pan Marry Me Chicken Orzo is a creamy, flavorful dish that’s perfect for special occasions or a cozy night in. With tender chicken thighs, al dente orzo, and a rich, cheesy sauce, it’s a meal guaranteed to impress. Best of all, it’s made in a single pan, so cleanup is a breeze!
Ingredients
-
4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
-
1 cup orzo
-
2 tbsp olive oil
-
1/2 cup heavy cream
-
1/2 cup chicken broth
-
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
3 garlic cloves, minced
Directions
-
Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Season the chicken thighs with salt, pepper, and thyme. Sear the chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
-
Sauté the Garlic and Orzo: In the same pan, add minced garlic and stir for 30 seconds. Add the orzo and sauté for 2-3 minutes until lightly toasted.
-
Add Liquids: Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir well, scraping any bits from the bottom of the pan. Bring to a simmer.
-
Cook the Chicken and Orzo Together: Return the chicken to the pan, cover, and cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes until the orzo is tender and the sauce is creamy.
-
Garnish and Serve: Stir in Parmesan cheese and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve hot and enjoy!
