This Sweet and Tangy Teriyaki Chicken Stir-Fry is a quick and flavorful dish that combines juicy chicken, fresh vegetables, and a delicious homemade teriyaki sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights, it’s packed with both protein and veggies, making it a wholesome and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced into strips

  • 1 cup broccoli florets

  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 carrot, julienned

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (for thickening)

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Directions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and cornstarch to make the teriyaki sauce.

  • Heat sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  • In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Then, add broccoli, bell pepper, and carrots, and stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until tender.

  • Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, pour in the teriyaki sauce, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and everything is coated.
